Nevermind.
I failed to mention that on Father's Day, I also threw (with the help of my wonderful hubby and friends) my dear friends, Tina and Jason, a couple's baby shower for their little bundle of joy who is expected to arrive in about 3 weeks! It was a great time and we had a lot of fun. It went off without a hitch and I think they really enjoyed it. Take a look!
I made a barnyard diaper cake since they're nursery is a farm theme. I'm so clever. It turned out better than expected and Tina was super-impressed with my mad crafting skills. I was pretty impressed myself and happy she liked it.
Our friend, Merrica, made these adorable "diaper" favors made out of blue gingham fabric and fastened with safety pins. Inside, she put sunflower seed packets and blue baby mints. It was perfect for a barnyard shower. She is also an amazing card-maker and made the invites - they were red barns and the doors opened to reveal the shower info (super cute!) - and a banner spelling out "Landon." Thanks chica!!
Here's the cake! I loved this cake. It fit the theme perfectly! I found a similar cake online and had McArthur's bakery recreate it. They did a great job and Tina loved it (which is all that mattered!).
The cake and punch table with the banner Merrica made.
The parents-to-be!!!
Tina and the cake! Sorry, I couldn't figure out how to make this photo right-side up. I'm sure there's a way to do it, but I'm just not that great at this stuff yet, so here we are.
Me and Tina!
Tina, me and Shannon (our friend from high school who also helped throw the shower)
The happy couple!!
And I couldn't resist sneaking in another Mason picture. Here he is with Uncle Justin.

The shower was awesome! What would have made it absolutely perfect is if Merrica, Jon, and Remy could have been there! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for a terrific day!
I LOVE the picture of Justin and Mason. SUPER CUTE.
We hated not being there, but it looked like it was so much fun! I am also impressed with Nicole's mad craft skills with the cake. Remington has the same barnyard friends toys and loves taking them out and putting them back in the barn, over and over and over....Can't wait for all the boys to meet and be friends. Miss you all so much!
